Lola Tung Discusses Her Ever-Evolving Fashion Sense

Lola Tung is experiencing a noticeable shift in her public image, moving beyond the Belly Conklin persona that defined her breakout series. The 23‑year‑old actress now serves as global ambassador for eyewear, watches and fragrance with the fashion house.

New partnership expands her fashion footprint

She says her mother’s habit of wearing timepieces sparked early curiosity. “My mom has always worn watches for my whole life and has always tried to get me to do it,” the star tells Harper’s Bazaar. The label’s recent campaign positions her as a bridge between legacy accessories and Gen‑Z sensibilities.

When asked about the appeal of a wrist‑bound accessory, she notes, “I think in the digital age, it’s very hard to get people to do that. But being part of this and [seeing watches] as cute statement jewelry has made me become a watch‑wearer.”

Lola adds with a laugh, “I feel very refined and very sophisticated. So that’s a nice addition to the wardrobe.” The comment hints at a deliberate pivot toward more polished pieces.

Beyond the screen, the performer has built a résumé that spans horror thrillers, indie dramas, A24 projects and stage productions.

Recent titles include a suspenseful feature, an experimental summer road movie and a musical adaptation that toured Broadway.

Earlier collaborations with the company’s sustainable line, Coachtopia, saw her front a capsule that merged television aesthetics with streetwear. She also became a regular at runway shows and earned a reputation as a devoted Tabby bag aficionado, often spotted with a custom‑made tote that mirrors her on‑screen backpack.

Such evolution mirrors a broader pattern where young talent leverages brand ties to redefine personal branding. While many celebrity deals remain static, Tung’s willingness to let the partnership grow alongside her suggests a more fluid approach. It feels like a modest rebellion against the usual lock‑step marketing playbook.

Balancing the bright, playful vibe of the youthful line with the sleek, mature aura of the timepieces, she says the process involves “figuring out how to have a partnership with a brand for a while and allow yourself to grow up and evolve.” The collaboration appears to accommodate both colorful and polished aesthetics.

Regarding the new eyewear collection, she points to a pair perched on the interview table, noting, “My mom loves and I love.” The frames blend the label’s signature palette with a timeless silhouette intended to attract multiple generations.

They appeal to many generations.

Signature scent search

Venturing into fragrance, the actress admits she is still learning. The actress says, “I’m not the biggest expert when it comes to scents, but I’m learning.” Lola recently heard that Rosamund Pike selects a distinct perfume for each role, a practice she finds intriguing.
