Last week, creators and fashion editors from around the world gathered in Copenhagen, which traditionally transforms into one of the most colorful fashion cities during Copenhagen Fashion Week. The street scene usually offers plenty of inspiration, but on the catwalk, we see what will determine the upcoming seasons. Small labels have grown into internationally recognized brands that leave their mark on what we will wear soon.
According to the report, color will make way for a slightly more minimalist approach next spring and summer, but there are also enough trends that can be carried over from this year to the next. These are the six biggest trends for spring/summer 2027, straight from the catwalk of Copenhagen Fashion Week.
Capri
The capri will not be put to rest after this summer, as it will return again next spring and summer. In fact, it’s likely that we’ll continue to wear it this fall as well. Two looks from Copenhagen Fashion Week show how diverse the styling options are: Almada Label featured a minimalist combination of a classic capri, woolen jacket, and ballerina shoes, while OpéraSport opted for multiple colors, layers, and materials for spring/summer 2027.
Sculptural Blouses
The satin blouse made a comeback this summer, but next summer, sculptural designs will take center stage. Think silhouettes with cape details, like those seen at Institution by Galib Gassanoff, or Henrik Vibskov’s layered effect. One common thread is the color white.
One of the personal styling tricks that caught my attention during Copenhagen Fashion Week was the all-white look. Not only on the catwalk but also on the streets, which are usually dominated by as colorful looks as possible. I don’t blame them: in the spring and summer, there’s nothing chicer than an all-white outfit. My favorite look to copy is from Caro Editions: a white capri combined with a tank top in the same color, a jacket with puffed sleeves, and bedazzled mules. Pearl jewelry completed the look.

Beenwarmers and Peplum
There was no escaping the beenwarmers on the catwalk at Baum und Pferdgarten, and Mfpen also featured models wearing them as a finishing touch. This means beenwarmers will be a trend. One thing is certain: this might be the easiest way to apply one of next year’s trends right now. Although beenwarmers will be a big trend next spring and summer, it’s more likely that you’ll wear them during the colder months.
The peplum, which we saw emerge last year, will make its definitive comeback in the spring/summer of 2027. Spotted on the catwalk at Baum und Pferdgarten, By Malene Birger, and Gestuz, in all possible colors and materials. In short: if you still have a peplum in your closet, you can officially take it out again.
Taille
We’ve seen it for seasons: the focus is on the waist. This will continue next spring and summer, with an emphasis on tailored blazers, scarves around our waists, and other ways to accentuate our waistlines.
