Speculation about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding has already reached betting markets, but a new partnership with Tommy Hilfiger may have just tipped off what the groom will wear. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, known for his bold tunnel walk outfits, has signed on as a global brand ambassador and creative collaborator with the American label.
A clue in the form of a fashion deal
On Monday, Tommy Hilfiger announced that Kelce will join the company in a dual role. He’ll work on a vague project this fall, described in a press release as “the athletic icon enters Tommy Hilfiger’s New York – a setting of timeless glamour, easy sophistication and where surprise encounters are never more than a block away.”
Next year, things get more concrete. Kelce is scheduled to co-design a collection of men’s clothing and accessories. It will be the first time the football star, podcaster and celebrity boyfriend adds “fashion designer” to his resume.

The timing is hard to ignore. Swift’s engagement ring was reportedly spotted at a Kansas City game, and her Instagram photos with Kelce earlier this year showed her in Ralph Lauren. If Swift leans on an American fashion icon for her wedding look, Kelce may do the same with Tommy Hilfiger.
Kelce’s style credentials
Kelce is no stranger to fashion attention. He was a GQ cover star and helped popularize the “tunnel fit” trend — wearing vintage-infused suits and playful print pieces on his way to the field. His choices have turned a simple walkway into a fashion moment for athletes.
Tommy Hilfiger praised the player in the announcement as being “at the forefront of a new generation of athletes expressing themselves through style, with a down-to-earth quality that people immediately connect with.” Kelce said he’s been a fan since high school, when he asked his mom to buy Sailing Gear jackets.

Still, celebrity fashion collaborations are hardly new. Tommy Hilfiger has a long history of dressing stars like Destiny’s Child, *NSYNC and Snoop Dogg in the 1990s and early 2000s. The brand also tapped Zendaya and Gigi Hadid to design full collections in 2019 and 2018. Kelce’s partnership fits that pattern, though his role as co-designer is a step beyond typical ambassadorship.
What a Tommy tux could mean
Between design duties, the athlete will presumably wear a lot of Tommy Hilfiger clothes. Given the current 1990s revival — inspired by “Love Story” and streamlined basics at revived mall brands like Gap — a Tommy logo waistband could easily appear in pre-season paparazzi shots.
If the stars align, Kelce might choose a Tommy tux for the wedding itself. The brand’s preppy, accessible style would fit the aesthetic of an American sports star marrying a pop superstar. And after years of cloud-print denim and outré silk shirts, a classic tux from Hilfiger would be a surprising but logical choice.

One potential hitch: the wedding date hasn’t been confirmed. Rumors point to June, but nothing is official. The tight end’s schedule with the Chiefs and Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour make timing complicated. Still, the fashion clues are stacking up.
For now, the deal gives Kelce a new title and a chance to shape men’s fashion his way. It also gives fans — and bettors — another piece of the puzzle. Whether he goes full Tommy or mixes it up, the wedding look will be watched as closely as any Super Bowl outfit.
